Day 1

Alright day 1 under way! I made a weightloss tracker but for some reason it won't show up right on here, so once I get that figured out then I will update that daily as well. I read my book last night until I fell asleep. I learned a couple of interesting facts! Like 1 quart of water weighs about 2 pounds and 2 tsp of salt is enough to retain this water in your body's tissues for a day or two!! YIKES!! Needless to say, I made my breakfast without salt! Suprisingly I didn't even miss it! I made a breakfast scramble with 1 whole egg, 1 egg white, a splash offf milk and some egg beaters. I used 2 slices of ff turkey lunchmeat that I get at Walmart (their brand) and a bit of finely diced onion. I put the diced onion and turkey in a skillet for a few minutes until the onions were translucent and then added in the egg mixture and cooked it through. I also had about a half a cup or so of Dannon FF Greek yogurt with splenda. I really like their Greek yogurt! It's nice and smooth and not so acidic. It feels good to be full but not bloated and yucky feeling. I always get bloated and yucky feeling after I eat carbs. Ice cream makes me feel that way too. I love it, but it doesn't love me!! I usually drink decaf iced tea with splenda all day, but I'm switching back to drinking mostly ice water again. It's cheaper, easier, and no added calories at all. I have to drink atleast 1 1/2 liters of water a day. That should be pretty easy since I always keep a big jug right with me all the time. I also have to do 20 minutes of walking a day so I will get on the treadmill after I get home from the store. I have to buy my oat bran and I need to get some chicken and a couple of other meats since I have to do the all protein phase for 7 days.  It's very weird not eating any veggies for sure, but I really feel like I can do this! I just hope that my body will cooperate and drop this dam weight already!!!

Lunch was really yummy! I butterflied a chicken breast and fried it in a non stick skillet sprayed with cooking spray. I sprinkled it with ground corriander and pepper. While that was browning I chopped up some cilantro and put it in a small bowl. I zested a lime and added that along with the juice from the lime. I sprinkled in 2 or 3 pkts of splenda and stirred it. I microwaved it for about 15 seconds to blend the flavors and then put it over the chicken. It's a variation of a dish I do but I usually use a good ammount of honey in the sauce. I really didn't miss it honestly. It was still good! I also had about a 1/2c ff dannon greek yogurt that I sweetend with splenda and added in my 1 1/2tbsp of oat bran. I really like that stuff. It has a nice flavor to it. I wish I would have tried it sooner! It wasn't bad at all in the yogurt either! Now I'm stuffed. I'm on my second jug of water so I'm sure I"ll get in plenty of water. I wish I could remember how much water this cup holds. I think I'll get a 2 liter bottle and fill it with water at the beginning of the day and keep it in the fridge so I can keep track. So far I'm loving this eating plan!!

20 minutes on the treadmill- DONE!

YUM! This is so good and so simple! I have a thing that's like a majic bullet that I got at Walmart. In one of the cups I put about 3/4 of the way up with ice, about 3/4 way up with ff milk, add 2 or 3 pkts of splenda (to taste) and maybe a tsp or so(I didn't measure it) of SF jello powder in the flavor you like. I used cherry. Whiz it up and yummy! You can't have fruit on this plan for quite a long time, but this totally tastes like you're drinking a fruit shake. I would have put ff cottage cheese in it too to thicken it up but I don't have any. Of course you can do chocolate or mocha, etc... but the fruit is very refreshing in this heat!! Just thought I'd share!

Rounding out day one, I had a roasted chicken breast for dinner. Later on I had some of the chicken egg drop soup that I had simmering on the stove and a chocolate mocha shake for dessert. It's been a great day! It was nice to not feel bloated and sluggish. I got hungry at regualr times but since we're allowed to eat as much from the protein list as we want, it was ok. Now I'm off to pick up Brandon from work and probably to bed. I'm pretty tired since I didn't sleep real good last night and it's been a busy day!
