Day 46??





I guess it would be day 46 except I've not been good and following the diet 100%. Don't know what got into me, but it needs to stop! I think I'm going to have to do the attack phase again just to get my mind and body back into it. I haven't gained any weight, but I haven't lost any either and that's almost as bad since I was doing so well. I need to go to the grocery store to get some protein items to make it easier and I've been out of oat bran as well and not been good about eating it when I did have it! So today I will continue on, but I'm going to go into the dukan site and see what it says if I redo my info with my currant weight and see how many days of attack it tells me to do.

Ok well I went in and redid all my info and now it says my real weight is a couple pounds higher than last time but dang it, it tells me 7 days of attack phase again. Sigh.... that 7 days seems soooo long with no veggies!! LOL! Ok, I will go to the store tonight and get what I need to get this back on track again!!! 44 pounds to go! I CAN DO THIS!!!

Breakfast- omelet and turkey bacon

Lunch- hamburger patty and onion rings. (should not have had the onion rings, I totally forgot that today is not a veggie day.)

Dinner- Egg foo young and  jello

Day 41

Today was pretty much a bust. A big hurricane is comming and I'm stressed to the hilt on top of the PMS that's making me want to eat everything under the sun. I did good up until dinner and the next few days won't be much better I"m afraid. We'll see. I'll do my best but with no power it's not going to be easy to eat what I should be eating. Well if it's a total bust then I will just start over with another attack phase when all this passes!

Day 39

Stressing today because of this darn hurricane. I sure hope it's path changes!! It's going to be a tough week no matter what because I'm due to start in a week. I'm starving all the time and I just want to eat eat eat!! If it's not tied down, it's fair game! LOL!! It's easier on the veggie days, which thankfully today is, but I'll get through it. It's only a week and then I won't want to eat anything at all!! Weird how our bodies work sometimes!

Breakfast- 2 slices of ham lunchmeat, 1 LCL cheese wedge divided between the ham and rolled up. I ate them on  heart of romaine leaves. I also had a sliced small tomatoe.

Lunch- Southwestern Chicken Soup (pictured below)

snack- a bowl of sf ice cream. (that stuff is such a weakness but it cuts my sweet tooth)

Dinner- Meatballs from stroganoff, salad and a sliced tomato.

Day 38

Sigh...yesterday was a bit of a tough day. I just keep doing these stupid little cheats that send me on a sugar craving from hell. Yesterday is was peanut butter cookies. I only had one, but does it really matter? For me it doesn't. I know it's not going to kill me on the scale, but that's not the point. For me sugar is my ultimate enemy. When I eat something sugar laden I end up with horrible sugar cravings for at least a week. I know this happens so why the hell do I allow myself to fall into these little traps?! Well I'm doing my best not to give in to anything today. I'm also going to force myself to get on the treadmill today. It is a protein only day.

Breakfast- 2 eggs and one egg white scrambled and turkey bacon

Lunch- pan seared hamburger patty and a hard boiled egg.

Dinner was a big no no. I had a piece of Quiche Lorraine that I made for the family

Day 36

Well it is a protein only day and it's a Saturday. Not a big deal but today I"m going to make some soft pretzels for the family and it's going to be sooo hard not to eat one because I love them!!! Dinner may be even harder to resist though!! I'm going to make home made pasta and get going on my home made pasta sauce. I love this dish soo much. Ah we'll see what happens. I may eat some, I may not. All depends on my mood really. Sometimes I think something is going to be impossible to resist and it ends up being no big deal and vise versa!

Breakfast this morning was an omelet made with 2 eggs and one white, 2 slices of lean ham lunchmeat and ff cheese. Now it's time for lunch and I have no idea what to have. I'm really hungry today though, so I'm going to go make something!

Day 34 & 35

Yesterday was not such a great day food wise. It should have been a protein day but we are broke (well worse than broke, our bank is in the negative) and I'm running out of diet foods that I can eat. So for the week I will have to work with what I have and hope for the best and hope that it doesn't totally derail me. Here's yesterday's food:

Breakfast- scrambled eggs, turkey bacon
Lunch- cream of broccoli soup
Dinner- over fried fish, green beans and mac and cheese

Today I got off to a late start as usual so I did more of a brunch I guess. I had cream of broccoli soup. I wasn't in the mood for breakfast and it was filling so I'm happy! I'll probably eat lunch around 3 or so and dinner, lord knows when!
Lunch- Ate earlier than I expected to! I had some turkey meatballs in fresh tomato sauce. Also had a bit of SF chocolate ice cream.

Day 33

Today was a strange day. I didn't eat until about 11, but as soon as I ate my last turkey and cheese mini bite, I had to run to the toilet to throw up. It really freaked me out because it just came out of no where! I checked all of the stuff that went into what I ate and nothing appeared to be bad so I have no idea what happened or why. After that I was a bit leary to eat. I ate a small sf ice cream cone and kept that down fine, so I then had a cheese stick. Later on at about 4 I had a bowl of cream of broccoli soup. For dinner I did a bit of a take off on what I made the family. I made them chicken ole, but of course I can't have tortillas so I just ate the chicken mixture on some romaine heart leaves.

Day 31 and 32

Gosh I've been bad about posting lately!! Lets see if I can remember what I ate yesterday...

Breakfast- scrambled eggs, sliced tomato and turkey bacon

Lunch- Beef stew

Dinner- deconstructed cabbage rolls! I wanted cabbage rolls but didn't feel like messing with making them, so I cooked up some cabbage, topped it with a hamburger patty that I pan fried and topped that with the same sauce that I put on cabbage rolls. Wasn't the same but it was still pretty tasty!

Dessert was jello

Day 32- Tuesday- Can't decide what I want for breakfast yet. We had to get up really early this morning to take Brandon to work so I'd much rather be able to go back to bed rather than worry about breakfast! I'm getting pretty darn hungry though so I'll figure out something soon enough.

Day 29 & 30

Well I didn't post at all yesterday! Was a busy day! I've been playing around with my Nook color because I got the SD card that turns it into a tablet. It's been fun and frustrating at the same time trying to figure some of the stuff out. I can't remember what I ate yesterday so here's today's food. It's a protein day.

Breakfast- turkey and cheese mini bites

Lunch- Turkey loaf and jello

Dinner- Swai fish fillets.

day 28

WOW I can't believe I've been at this for almost a month already! It just doesn't seem like it's been that long! I'm weird when it comes to losing weight and it seems that it's going to be the case with this diet as well. I lose all of my weight right around the time of my period. The rest of the month I might lose a tad if I'm lucky, but generally I just bounce around the same few pounds until the period time the following month and then, whammo! Off it comes! I don't really care as long as it comes off!! Last night was my first cheat. I made a really yummy cake and I had a small piece. It was really low sugar so not too too bad, but it was a carb none the less. It made me feel kinda ill though so maybe it was a good cheat. I won't crave that anymore for sure!!

Breakfast this morning (well 11:00) is some ham and cheese mini bites.

Lunch- Kind of weird for lunch but I had scrambled eggs and turkey bacon. I was in the mood for it and it really hit the spot!

Dinner- Lemon thyme chicken in a white wine reduction and topped with a sprinkle of parmesan. Boy was that good!

Day 27

Wow I totally forgot to post today!!

Breakfast didn't happen today.

Lunch was 2 slices of turkey lunchmeat with 1 LCL cheese wedge in the middle, wrapped up with a romaine heart leaf. With it I had a bowl of cream of broccoli soup.

Dinner was oven poached Swai with a cilantro aioli and some cole slaw.

Day 26

Well I was up a couple pounds this morning, but I know it's not a real gain so I'm not sweatin' it! In fact I'm thinking it's probably because I hadn't gone to the bathroom in more days than I can remember! So we'll see how it plays out in the next few days. On a good note, I'm feeling better today and a bit stronger which is really nice. I don't know what I had but boy did I feel like crap and so weak!

Breakfast (at 11am) was turkey and cheese mini bites. It had been 2 days since I'd had any oat bran or wheat bran so I figured it was about time to get some into my system!!

Well I didn't have lunch so dinner was a shepards pie that I made with a carrot puree topper. It was fabulous!! I may grab a little something later on since I'm missing a meal, but only if I'm hungry. I'm kinda looking forward to going to bed earlier tonight since I don't have to pick up brandon all late!

day 25

HOLY CRAP!! I was down even more this morning!!!! I can't believe I've lost 15 pounds already!!! I'm soo beyond happy!!!!

Breakfast- 2 eggs and 2 egg whites scrambled and 3 slices of turkey bacon cooked super crispy in the microwave.  My appetite is back pretty good this morning!! Yayyyy!!!

Lunch- some rotisserie chicken put into romaine leaves with some ff cheese and diced tomatoes.

Dinner- meatloaf and sliced tomatoes

Day 24


Down a bit more this morning, but no surprise since I'm sick. I feel so lightheaded and sick to my stomach, like I have the flu. I wish I could just stay in bed all day, but David is back to work today so that's not an option.  Still it's kind of neat that I'm only about 10 pounds away from what I weighed when David came home from Spain.  Not sure how much I"ll be eating today unless I start to feel better. That would be awesome!!

Breakfast- 2 whole eggs and 1 white scrambled. Im going to go slow with food until I"m sure I"m not going to throw up!

Lunch- some rotisserie chicken and a sf fudge pop.

Dinner I had some beef from beef stew. I had a carrot or two as well, but mostly all just meat and a glass of milk. While I was waiting for dinner to heat up I had a sf creamcicle.

Feeling better which is nice. I really dread having to go get brandon from work tonight. I'd like to be in bed by 10 not just leaving to go pick him up! I wont' be home much before 11pm. I hate when he has these night schedules! He should have his truck soon though thank goodness!!!

Day 23

Woke up this morning feeling horrible! Didn't feel too good yesterday either. Not sure why, just hoping I feel better as the day goes on! Weight was the same this morning for the second day in a row but I'm ok with that because I lost for a few days in a row. Everyone wants to lose weight fast, but with in reason.

Breakfast this morning was mini carrot cake muffins with a whipped cream cheese dip. Not too bad, but I want to work on the recipe a little more. I think it needed a little more sweetener and a little more cinnamon. The dip was awesome though!! It would also be great with the zucchini muffins I made before!

No lunch today. I spent all afternoon in bed feeling really crappy.

Dinner- still not feeling good but was starving so I was hoping some food would make me feel better. I ate 2 hamburger pattys from a whopper and some lettuce.

Day 22

Good morning!! I got my Nook Color yesterday and I think I've fallen in love!! Emily loves it too which is great because it gets her reading and excited about it!! I stayed the same weight as yesterday which is really cool! I love that my weight loss has been steady and consistent. None of this going up and down 5 or 6 pounds in a day like I would often do on Nutrisystem. I just love this diet so much! It may not be for everybody, but it feels like it's just made perfectly for me!! :o)

So today is an all protein day so won't be too exciting for sure!

Breakfast- Turkey and cheese mini's. I couldn't finish them all so Emily ate the last 2! It's really late too (12:45) so lord only knows when lunch will be!

Day 21


Whoooooooooo hoooooooooooo another pound down this morning!!! Totally didn't expect that!!!

Breakfast wasn't until just before noon! I made the turkey and cheese mini bites again and I also had a small tomato.

Lunch was fun today!!! I made little sliders and used hearts of romaine leaves as my bun. They were toooo good!! I also had a little jello with cool whip. It's been my addiction lately!!

Opps I forgot to post dinner last night!! It was pretty late when I ate. I made tacos with the hearts of romaine leaves.

Day 20


Whooooooooo hooooooooooooooo  another pound gone!!!! I can't believe I've lost almost 11 pounds already!!! Am I excited??!! Hell yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!! :o)

Breakfast this morning was my turkey and cheese mini bites again. Only this time I had 4 left over that I just couldn't finish!!

Lunch was a smokey vegetable clam chowder that came out really tasty and a chicken breast with BBQ sauce.  A bit later on I had some jello with cool whip.

Well dinner was a light one. I didn't even feel like eating, and it was already 11pm so I grabbed some turkey bacon and some jello. I'm full so that'll work, it's just a bummer because I barely ate any veggies today to get to enjoy my veggie day!! In fact the only veggies I had at all were the little bit that were used to make my soup. I may just do a veggie day tomorrow. I'll see. I get my Nook color tomorrow and I'm sooooo excited!!

Day 19

Good morning!! I had to get up much earlier than I wanted to this morning because Brandon had to be to work earlier. Boy will I ever be glad when he gets his own car and his own place!

So anyhow, today is a protein only day. Nothing much sounded good for breakfast until I remembered the turkey and cheese bites!! So I made those and man did they ever hit the spot! They sooo feel like cheat food!! They puffed up so nice this time using the egg and egg white rather than the egg beaters. I really need to make them more often! I got 12 out of this batch too!! Last time I only got 10 so I only cut 10 slices of the turkey and cheese layers, so I filled the last too with some left over chicken and those were really good too! Now I need to get this day going already! I'm going to bake some batches of zucchini bread for the family and figure out what I'm going to make them for dinner so I can take it out of the freezer!

Lunch today was a patty made out of the chicken sausage I made, a cheese stick and a little cream of chicken soup.  It would have been ok but the sausage patty was too salty. I don't know what made me salt the dam thing anyway!  Ah well, I've learned my lesson and I'll just try to make myself drink more today!

WOW 10:30 and I just finished dinner!! I was starving too!  I just pan seared a hamburger patty and topped it with a bit of ketchup. I'm stuffed to the gills! I have some jello setting up in the fridge for later on when I'm wanting something sweet.

Day 18

Down .2 more today! Not much, but every little bit adds up right??!! :o)

Breakfast this morning was a chocolate zucchini bun, scrambled eggs with cheese and turkey bacon.

Dang it, it's 3:30 and I still haven't had lunch yet!!! I just never feel like eating around lunch time anymore!! Guess I better go grab something though while I start the pizza dough for the family's dinner. Gonna be weird to not eat home made pizza!!

Ok finally made lunch! I made a cream of tomato and basil soup and with it I'm having half of a left over chicken breast.

Dinner tonight was eggs, turkey bacon and sliced tomatoes.

Day 17

Happy August 1st! WOW the summer is just zooming by! Before I know it Emily will be back in school! So today is day 17. Hard to believe it's been that long already! I got off to a late start today since it was almost noon when I finished my breakfast!

Breakfast- I made a bun, but I made it a little altered this time by just using an egg and leaving out the egg whites. This made for a smaller, but lighter and drier bun. I cut it in half and toasted it, then I topped each side with half a wedge of LCL cheese and some scrambled eggs with chopped up turkey. Of course I dipped it into my jalapeno jelly too! I think I'm addicted to that stuff at this point!! Lunch won't be for a while! I've found that I really like that though. That way I'm not hungry when I'm making the family's dinner. It really works out well.

Well I never did get around to eating lunch.

Dinner was some chicken Italian sausage that I made. It was ok, but I only had ground fennel and no whole fennel seeds so it was really missing them. Still, at least I was able to eat something. Got some jello chilling now for later on.
